💋 Kiss Me Liar

In a good way and a bad way too. Reading Kiss Me Liar was like riding a roller coaster. It had exciting parts that dazzled me and parts... that I just wanted to be over. The work is exactly that feeling. 🔞

Very good at many moments, and at others? It stumbles, a lot, with excessive or unnecessary and/or poorly used toxicity.

Being an omegaverse, a world where alphas, omegas and betas exist, it was handled fairly well up to a point. We follow the secretary and his boss, an alpha, and how their relationship plays out. The work is already completed and definitely has some very exciting and enjoyable parts to read.

The fact is, however, that you'll surely notice the poorly done parts of the story. They're shallow narrative devices (like going back to a personality that had already been overcome) or even inconsistencies between actions and events.

So Kiss Me Liar aims to be a great work and, to a certain extent, succeeds. However, it stumbles by trying to cover too many themes and complexities in its characters, which often leads to attitudes and plot paths that are hard to understand.

Do I recommend it? Of course! It's not a bad work and it has many strong points, like the art and, up to a point, the construction of the story. Just be warned that not all the work's toxicity, and yes, it has some, makes any sense. Some toxic and abusive scenes don't seem to have any purpose other than shocking the reader and making them want to read more.
