Cute and light
Shh, You'll Wake the Kid
Reading this work was interesting, to say the least. Starting with the (extremely curious) title, "Shh, You'll Wake the Kid" follows a college student (who, as usual, is broke and drowning in debt) and a single dad, CEO of a company, who needs a babysitter. You can already imagine where this is going (lol) 🔞.
A self-respecting review always tries to analyze a work for what it sets out to be. Here the goal is very clear: to tell a light, fun story full of humor. A goal it fulfills perfectly.
The work is already completed and its target audience is very clear: people who want to cure a Sunday slump or a broken heart. It's WAY TOO CUTE. I swear, from the relationship between the two to how the characters live together. (The babysitter with the kid simply melted my heart.)
It's definitely not a work for those looking for a great plot. As for the art and the story, both do their job with glamour. Whether in their simplicity or in small, pleasant twists.
I recommend it A LOT. It's that short work everyone should definitely read. And for those who like a good lemon, I'm pleased to inform you it has some (although, honestly, it's not the story's high point, which I think is the relationship between the characters and how it's built).
Shh, You'll Wake the Kid delivers what it promises masterfully and gives us a dose of happiness and silly smiles.
