Cute, but it could have been more
Unauthorized Access
“Unauthorized Access” is a very average yaoi, the kind you read in no time and finish thinking “okay, that was cute, but it could have been (and had) more.” The story unfolds at a very fast pace, which ends up hurting the immersion — before you fully connect with the characters or the world (which is quite limited), the plot has already jumped several steps ahead.
Some elements of the world and the story are simply never explained — especially the seme's company, and to this day I don't know exactly what it did 😂. This leaves the reader a bit lost and gives the impression that the author had good ideas but didn't take the time to develop them calmly and explain them to the reader.
On the other hand, the couple delivers genuinely cute scenes, with light and fun chemistry. Even though it's rushed, you can feel the intention of building something affectionate between them. It's a story with no pretension of being deep or grand; it owns being a simple, short narrative that just wants to deliver a pleasant "romance" within the space it has.
I recommend it to anyone looking for something cute, spicy, funny and slightly different, with that unexpected, even a little strange touch that makes the read intriguing. It's the ideal kind of work to unwind with, without demanding much emotional or intellectual investment.
A quick, pleasant read that delivers what it promises — as long as you don't expect complexity or complete narrative coherence.
