❄️ One on One

This was a very special find I read recently! A short story, a single chapter, that leaves you wanting more!

A young man, whose name the story never makes clear, is walking through a park. He's disillusioned with love and very sad, because he just broke up with his boyfriend. Then a strange young man named Naoru shows up, asks him for a lighter and starts chatting.

The protagonist is a bit annoyed by the intrusion, but ends up opening up to the stranger, who offers him a night of sex in exchange for money. That's when we find out Naoru is a sex worker.

The protagonist accepts the offer, because he wants something to make him forget his ex. And so they go to a hotel to get it on.

This part of the story surprised me: I expected just smut, but the author delivered deep and interesting dialogue. I felt the two characters had amazing chemistry, and Naoru turns out to be a complex character I really wanted to understand better.

But, as I said, the story is very short and ends with a surprising ending that I'll leave up to the interpretation of those of you who read it.

But one thing is certain: I was left with a huge feeling of “I want more”, and I've never been so fascinated by two characters in such a short time. I simply loved it, and I'm happy to have discovered this beautiful work!
