Wow
Our Sunny Days
I've read a lot in my life, everything you can imagine. But my life definitely got better and much happier after reading Sunny Days (as I'll call the work).
Funny, smart and completely lovable, Sunny Days gifts us with a story full of layers and feelings. There isn't a single criticism to be made. Here we follow a former US soldier who finds out from his ex-girlfriend that he's a father (and she ends up leaving).
Lost, and wanting to give his daughter a better childhood than the one he had, Sung Ho (the soldier) ends up moving to the Korean countryside. There, he meets his baby's future second dad and the village chief.
I've never read a yaoi that handles so many aspects so satisfyingly. Sunny Days is a gift for every BL reader who wants to escape the same old thing but doesn't give up on a tremendous story of love, respect and growth.
The ex-soldier's child is simply adorable, and the story manages to combine healthy, welcome humor with the restrained, calculated and well-crafted development of the couple.
Certainly a must-read that will make the whole community fall in love. I can already say I'm eager for new chapters and can't wait to see how such a work ends.
