You Get Me Going
Wow. That's the only possible way to start this review: W-O-W. You Get Me Going may not promise anything at the start, but it delivers everything and then some.
We follow two coworkers, gay and experienced (that alone makes me love this story), both 30 years old. Both have a somewhat questionable past and are always fighting with each other. Until they run into each other on a blind date, and what was supposed to be just a bad memory of a chaotic dinner becomes much more than that...
You Get Me Going bets on simplicity and lots of steamy scenes. There were moments when I lost track of where the story was going with so much hot content. The fact is, the art is beautiful and the steamy scenes are varied and complex. It's quite interesting to watch their relationship go from something more physical and carefree to something deeper and more loving.
The characters are relatively well made and well introduced, and the plot is maybe a bit silly, but nothing that gets in the way. You Get Me Going is a welcome and captivating cliché, telling an ordinary story (but not a bad one for that) about two adults who grow together.
Both the UKE and the SEME (their names are really hard) have strong tempers, and the clashes between them make the whole story a real pleasure to follow.
I recommend it to everyone (18+, for sure). Want well-done hot content? Here you go. Want well-done hot content and a couple that talks and has fun? Come on in. Just want to feel a little less lonely? Come in too.
You Get Me Going may have its excesses and clichés, but without a shadow of a doubt it's a work that fulfills its ambitions masterfully.
